Duška Jurišić, Deputy minister

Duška Jurišić was born on November 1, 1965 in Sarajevo. She has a master's degree in journalism and a law degree. She completed her education in Sarajevo, and her journalism specialization in the United States.

She gained most of her work experience as a journalist and editor at public broadcasting services in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the period from 2019 to 2023, she was the director of Sarajevo Canton Television.

For five years, she led the Equality Academy of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and the Sarajevo Open Center, whose goal was greater involvement of women in the political, economic and social spheres of life in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As a member of the Gender Center team of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, she participated in the drafting of the Strategy for the Prevention and Combating of Domestic Violence 2021-2027.

She is a participant in a large number of conferences, round tables and workshops on human rights, especially in the segment of socially vulnerable categories, the rights of workers, media employees, gender equality and gender equality, and strengthening the visibility of women's activist organizations.
